1) NO MODING...
Moding is when you and another character are engaged in one on one combat and you automatically give his next move. Such as this; Tindomiel brings her sword down upon her opponent and slices his arm open. Never assume your opponents next move. Make only your move, then wait for his reaction and let HIM choose if he wishes to get hurt or get killed. An appropriate thing to say is such as this; Tindomiel brings her sword down upon him. Then, give him the option of letting you hurt him or not.
2) No advertising...
This means, if you have a chat room and you want to come in another chat and post the link....DONT. This also means no posting of links what so ever, this is also considered advertising. Only post links if asked to, and then it is best if you do so in whisper.
3) OOC...
Please try to remain IC, or in character, whenever you are RPing. If for some reason you do come OOC, always put comments in parentheses, like this... Tidomiel: sorry but I have got to brb..plz hold the RP))
4) Yelling...
Yelling is a bad idea, if it is not meant to be used in a yelling manner. The following is considered yelling... HELLO ROOM, HOW ARE YOU?
5) Greetings...
When you first come into an RP chat room, it is best to either make an entracnce or find a suitable greeting according to the chat room you are in. In a medieval chat room, you would want a greeting similar to this... Good day to you all. Or a good entrance for the same medieval chat room would be...
Tindomiel rides in on her stead and comes to a halt when she reaches the others near her. She dismounts and gives a polite bow to each of the gathered people.
6) Profiles...
Its best to have a profile for your character and not for yourself, that is, if you RP a lot. Its also good to have a picture of your character as well.
7) Hosts...
Most Owners will only give hammers to people they know and trust, so please do not expect to get one if you ask. Getting to be a host is a privelege, not a necessity.
8) Actioning...
Actioning is a way of speaking that is not done "out loud", such as this... Tindomiel runs to her horse and mounts it. Actions are done in four different ways. The first way is to type the following... /me runs to her horse and mounts it. It will produce the previous message in the chat room. The second way is to type the following... runs to her horse and mounts it ... and then press the exclamation point next to Send. Both ways will work fine. The third way can be done in a similar way to the first, being that you can type, /action runs to her horse and mounts it. The fourth way is to type your sentence, runs to her horse and mounts it ...and then press Ctrl + A
